Full remote control of your 3D printer, plus cloud slicing with your real profile. Upload an STL on the couch, the print starts. No PC in the loop.
Live demo
The real app on a simulated printer. No mockups, no video. Switch tabs, jog the printer, slice a model, watch the temps move.
Or grab one from Thingiverse, or generate one with AI.
With your printer's real OrcaSlicer profile. Nozzle, bed, filament, all correct.
Watch the webcam, tune speeds, or stop it from anywhere.
Go on, tap around. It's the real thing.
What you get
A polished app for your printer that lives on your phone, your tablet, and any browser.
Live temps, start/pause/cancel, motion, fans, macros, live webcam and emergency stop, over the internet. No tunnel or VPN to set up.
Live webcam, automatic timelapses (no plugin), print history, and AI failure detection that pauses the moment something goes wrong.
Built-in filament tracking that records usage for every print automatically, plus schedule a print to auto-start the moment the printer's free.
Upload or find a model, pick material and quality, and we slice it on our servers with your printer's real profile, then send it straight to the machine. No PC, no USB stick.
Turn a text prompt or a photo into a printable 3D model, or describe a part and let CAD design it, then slice and print from your phone. 150 credits a month on Pro, about 15 models.
…and everything a power-user expects
Built on trust
The only thing that runs on your hardware is a tiny agent that dials out, so there's no port to forward and nothing on your network is reachable from the internet. It's open source: read every line before you install it.
View the agent on GitHub →Your models are yours, full stop. Uploads travel over TLS, get sliced, and the g-code goes to your printer. The model file lands in your account's library so you can re-slice and reprint without uploading again. Delete it there and it's gone from our servers. Slicer scratch files are cleaned up automatically within 14 days. Every model and g-code request is checked against the signed-in account that owns it.
Nobody reads your models, nothing is used for training, and nothing is shared or sold. If you use the AI features, only what's needed for that job is sent: a snapshot of the model for slice suggestions, webcam frames for failure detection. That's it.
Setup
No ports to forward, no VPN, no account credentials on your printer.
Free, with email, Google, or GitHub. Start a 7-day free Pro trial whenever you're ready.
The app hands you a ready-to-paste command for your printer's Pi or board, with your account link already built in: curl -sSL https://app.hotend.app/install | bash
Signed releases, runs as an unprivileged service user, never as root. Source is on GitHub.
The printer links to your account automatically. No code to copy, nothing to type back. Control and slice it from anywhere.
Pricing
Controlling and watching your printer costs nothing, forever. No card. Cloud slicing and AI generation are what you pay for, and every new account starts with 7 days of Pro.
Best value · save 25% Go yearly — Pro all year for ~US$8.25/mo. That's 3 months free. US$99 USD/yrFAQ
No. A small agent on your printer dials out to Hotend, so nothing is exposed to the internet and there's no port to forward.
Any printer running Klipper and Moonraker today: Voron, QIDI, Sovol, Creality K-series, Elegoo, RatRig, Anycubic Kobra, FLSun and 100+ more. OctoPrint, PrusaLink and Bambu Lab support is in progress.
Remote control is free forever: live control, webcam, timelapses, history and AI failure detection for one printer, no card required. Cloud slicing and AI generation are on the paid Pro and Studio plans — Pro has a 7-day free trial, nothing is billed until it ends, and you can cancel anytime.
They're sliced, sent to your printer, and kept in your account library so you can reprint without re-uploading. Remove one from the library and it's wiped from our servers. Slicer scratch files auto-clean within 14 days, every file access is owner-checked, and nothing is read, trained on, shared or sold. More detail here.

Yes. Upload or find a model and Hotend slices it in the cloud with your printer's real profile, then sends the g-code straight to the machine. No PC needed.
Yes. The agent is a small Go binary and the full source is on GitHub, so you can audit exactly what runs on your Pi.
They do remote access and failure detection, and so does Hotend. Neither of them slices. With Hotend you upload a model on your phone, it slices against your printer's real profile, and the print starts. That's the difference.
